As a planet, we’re using more plastic than ever. The devastation it causes our oceans and ecosystems is hard to take it, with many areas of the world now at breaking point.
Bali, known as a popular tropical paradise destination and ‘island of the gods’ is one of the areas directly affected. With now only 20% of its indigenous forests remaining, plastic pollution is also adding to the problem and causing its Subaks – a series of vital waterways – to dry up, threatening Bali’s ecosystems as well as the livelihood of its indigenous people. With its current situation at unsustainable levels, we are rapidly forming lasting collaborations with partners who care as much we do, and want to fight for the health of our planet, and its future.
By coming together we’re using our shared knowledge and capabilities to stop centuries old destruction. New innovations in bottle design have allowed us to create bottles with far less impact on the environment, simultaneously creating sustainable livelihoods for the people of Bali.
